Fond memories of the Italian Cultural Center since I was child (Italian school, Italian dancing with Gli Azzurri) and building friendships along the way. I have worked for the City of Calgary the last 15 years, recently with various roles within Planning and Development.
Happily married to my wife for 3 years. We have recently opened a business together Face & Co.
I am a CPA and Partner in Blasetti Broyles LLP. I have been providing personalized professional services to clients in and around Calgary for over 33 years. With a lifelong passion for helping people achieve their goals, he aims to build lasting relationships with clients.
I have extensive experience handling family matters such as trusts, estate and succession planning, taxes and tax planning, business advisory, mergers, acquisitions, and the selling of businesses.
In all his professional endeavours, Randal treats his clients with the same care and respect with which he would hope to be treated. He also believes in giving back to the community; he currently serves on four not-for-profit association boards, and he volunteers for local fundraisers and functions whenever the opportunity arises. When not working or volunteering, Randal treasures time spent with family, three special grandchildren and friends and enjoys camping and hockey.
My grandfather, Luca Carloni, was one of the founding members of the Calgary Italian Cultural Centre. My parents, Tony and Nina Valerio, were very active in the community as well. I was taught at a very young age to give back to the community. I have been on the board for 10+ years and have enjoyed working with and getting to know our members.
When I am not working, my husband, Dean, and I enjoy travelling, golfing and football (CFL and NFL).
Married to Leo, now deceased, Mother of 2 and a Grandmother of 4, Rafela Grossi has acted as General Manager and now Executive Director of the Calgary Italian Cultural Centre since May, 1985.
Rafela has been so much more than just an employee. She has acted as our Ambassador for the past 38 years!
Lena Angelozzi is our Cultural Director. She served on the CICC board from 2003 to 2011 and decided to return in 2021 and is currently serving her second term.
Lena was born and raised in Calgary to Domenico and Elma Staffa who immigrated to Canada from Calabria in 1962. Lena has worked in the accounting field for over 30 years and in her spare time she enjoys gathering with family and friends.
I am a proud member and board member of the CICC for over 10 years and counting. I have 3 children who have been apart of many cultural organizations in Calgary, which has made me a glorified full-time volunteer! I love the Arts and look forward to celebrating our heritage on the stage.
I am a third generation Italian, my Great Grandparents migrated to Canada in 1920 from Matera , Basilicatta to Toronto Canada. I am originally from Toronto and moved to Calgary in 1998 where I make this my home. I have an amazing wife Kimberly and two great kids Zachary and Tabitha.
I hope to share my 40 plus years in the construction and service industry to support the Calgary Italian Cultural Centre while sitting on the Board of Directors. It is a great honour that I hope to uphold.
