The Calgary Italian Cultural Centre is proud to announce Sorelle Catering as our new exclusive food & beverage partner.
Founded by sisters Angela Cecchetto Hamilton and Laura Cecchetto-Saliba, together with Jim Hamilton and John Saliba, Sorelle brings over 100 years of combined experience in Calgary’s catering scene. Rooted in Italian tradition, their motto says it best: “Let our family serve yours.”
You’ll taste this new chapter right here in La Cantina, where members, patrons, and guests can enjoy authentic Italian food, warm hospitality, and the cultural connection that define the CICC experience.

Facility Upgrades Made Possible by Alberta Government Support
We're proud to announce the successful completion of our facility upgrades, made possible through the Community Facility Enhancement Program (CFEP) Small grant from the Government of Alberta.
Many of you, members, guests, and friends, have already experienced the transformation:
- A refreshed main hall and entrance
- New accessible washrooms and an upgraded entrance to better serve those with mobility challenges
- A revitalized private room, made possible through the generous donation from the estate of Doug Lee
These improvements reflect our commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and vibrant space for all.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the Government of Alberta for their trust and support. Without their support through the CFEP grant, none of these enhancements would have been possible.

"The objective of the Calgary Italian Cultural Centre is to preserve our Italian Culture and Heritage. The "Centre" is the meeting place for all that is Italian."
The Calgary Italian Cultural Centre is known as the "Centre". The Bocce Leagues host both men and women's teams Monday to Thursday, October through May. The Italian School is open from September to June each year and offers classes from Kindergarten to Grade 12 with a fully approved curriculum by Alberta Education. Adult classes are offered in the evening. A number of Scholarships are available through the Centre and various regional groups under the auspices of the Centre. Pensioners will find the support they need. There are a number of social events throughout the year and of course, La Cantina Restaurant & Lounge is a very busy place to gather with family or friends!
There is much to celebrate at the Calgary Italian Cultural Centre - our roots, our history, our activities, our members, our families and our friendships! Our community comes together at the "Centre" every day for various reasons. There are ample good reasons to come and join us! Help us continue enriching the rich history of our community! As long standing members we are waiting to welcome you to the Calgary Italian Cultural Centre where we are who we say we are - all that is Italian!
